2. Installation Procedure
Site Preparation & Roof Assessment
Inspect existing roof structure for integrity. Confirm measurements against survey data. Verify access, clear workspace, and lay protective coverings.
Timber Subframe Installation
Fix precision-cut timber battens to underside of existing roof bars using specified fixings. Ensure level alignment across full span. Check squareness at all corners and junctions.
Insulation Layer — Multi-layered Foil Insulation
Install multi-layered foil insulation within the subframe cavity as part of the SnugCore™ Ceiling System build-up. Ensure continuous coverage with no gaps or compression. Overlap all joints by minimum 50mm and seal with foil tape to maintain vapour barrier continuity. Maintain correct air gap principles for optimal thermal performance.
Plasterboard Ceiling Installation
Fix plasterboard sheets to underside of subframe. Stagger joints, screw at specified centres, and tape all joints. Apply finishing compound as required by specified finish level.
Lighting & Final Finish
Cut apertures for recessed LED downlights (if specified). Wire to existing consumer unit via qualified electrician. Test all circuits. Complete final finish, clean workspace, and conduct walkthrough with homeowner.
